Six years of Steve & Lisa.
The Blue Moon has been on N Verdugo Rd in the Montrose Shopping Park since 2000. Steve and Lisa took it over six years ago and made it theirs - the booth they always saved on UFC nights, the round they comped when you needed it, the call to a rideshare when you were over the line. The bar's twenty-six years old; the last six had their fingerprints on every detail.
May 9 is their last night as owners. The room stays open, the tap stays cold, the doors keep doing what they've done for twenty-six years. But this Saturday is the send-off.
UFC Fight Night plays on every screen at 7pm. The party kicks at 9pm - DJ inside, BBQ on the heated patio. No cover. Come early, the seats by the bar go fast, and these two deserve a room that's full.
