Twenty-six years on the corner.
The Blue Moon has been on N Verdugo Rd in the Montrose Shopping Park since 2000. For most of that run, Steve and Lisa were the people on the other side of the bar — the ones who learned your drink, who saved you the booth on UFC nights, who knew when to comp the round and when to call you a rideshare.
May 9 is their last night as owners. The room stays open, the tap stays cold, the doors keep doing what they've done for twenty-six years. But this Saturday is the send-off.
UFC Fight Night plays on every screen at 7pm. The party kicks at 9pm — DJ inside, BBQ on the heated patio. No cover. Come early, the seats by the bar go fast, and these two deserve a room that's full.
