Only bar in the area I'll go to frequently, Angel and Danielle are the best bartenders this place has hired and they've changed the vibe in the place overall. Went from a kids playground for fights and people who don't know how to drink to now regular people I see who are really chill to hang with. Have Angel make you a good Mexican Candy shot or have Danielle hook you up with a bomb ass Paloma shooters, I assure you'll have a cool time with either of them here!

i can't believe i've never been here before. what a gem! happy hour every day, 2 pool tables upstairs and a friendly bartender. close proximity to carl's jr too if you need to get something greasy. a band came in to play at 8 and they were awesome. will totally be back again

I love the Blue Moon! It's got that perfect sports bar home-town vibe, and great drink prices. I mean $3 beers and cocktails on Tuesday nights?! I'm in lol. And the coolest bartenders, pool upstairs, overall good chill vibes, great people.

First time coming here and I'll definitely be back. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing. Very much a dive bar, not in a bad way, especially since they got no food. Misha (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was a great bartender! Made conversation and very much made us feel very comfortable. And for 6 drinks it was only $42! Happy hour is from 5-8pm. They also have a pool league fyi. Second floor has a pool table and darts. Definitely would come back here!

A local joint that is pretty divey. They have pool and some other games that you can play as well. Don't expect clean floors and the smell of roses, this is your typical local dive bar.

My favorite dive bar! Been coming here for a year and I always feel so loved by the bartenders. It's always got enough room for more people, and the weekend tacos are divine. My favorite is definitely $3 dollar drinks on Tuesday with Kiana as the bartender!!!! Her drinks are delicious and I always want to order more when she's behind the bar!

I came on a Saturday night for my birthday.. and I loved it! They had a Dj which didn’t miss at all!! The entire night just banger after banger! The taco man in the back came at midnight… and man was it worth the wait!! My guy has 3 for $5 tacos $8 quesadillas! You can’t go wrong( this was February 2024). They have beer pong, pool, and darts upstairs, and they said they even host tournaments for prizes every week! Drinks are cheap people are cool. Highly recommended this bar!

Great place to meet at the beginning of the night, 1 last drink before you end the night, or to watch a game or fight (watch a fight that is).

Fun locals bar here in Glendale where they have good prices and the bartenders are super friendly especially during the day when it’s less busy. I like how spacious it is and they have. Very friendly vibe considering all the regulars who frequent the place. Had been my go to spot to stop by after Dodgers games on my way home.

I've been coming here for a year and can't speak more highly of my experience at The Blue Moon. The owner, security, bar backs and especially the bartenders are absolutely amazing. It's one of those bars you walk in and feel instantly welcomed by the bartenders and staff. Thankfully coming here regularly has allowed me to meet some great locals who have become some amazing bar friends. It's like the good ole Cheers here daily and love it. I must say if you want a good cold beer, great priced shots, happy hour M-F 4-8 or a great DJ and tacos on Fri/Sat nights, then The Blue Moon is the place to be. Once Football season starts again they open at 10am on Sunday and it's the best experience with 13 TVs for the viewing pleasure. They do also have UFC, Boxing, Dodgers, Hockey and pretty much all sports. It's taken me a while to post this review but in the last few weeks I've been here when two men and another male last night came to the moon and disrespected the female bartenders and I feel I need to stand up for what's right. 2 of them made absolutely insulting comments about a bartenders race, clothing and then completely disrespected her by calling her derogatory names to fellow bar people, before being told to go somewhere else. The other one last night was beyond disrespectful and was asked to be respectful. Then trying to cause a fight with a female bartender because he wanted to treat her like trash, absolutely disgusting behavior. What's most important is they thought taking it upon themselves to jump on yelp and post a absolutely embellished story about the situation to slander these two specific bartenders is disgusting. I witnessed it with multiple other regulars and we were so thankful you left because treating women like that is disgusting. Don't come to the moon, disrespect the bartenders and then jump behind a screen to slander them when you were the patron who couldn't have any decent respect for them. The are tendering to your bar needs, not your disrespectful attitude.

Well, lets see... I use to come here every Monday after our softball games at the sports complex. I came here yesterday and it was awesome! My friend Josh was DJ, the bar looks different from last time I was here, they have up stairs with pool tables, beer pong, darts, etc. They also had a back patio with taco guy who was really good. All the staff were friendly from security to the bartenders. The vibe was really cool, no drama just everyone having fun drinking. Theres also lots of t.v.'s to catch all the sports. If you're in the Glendale area come check this place out. I will be back!

Pretty cool bar. It's small but it's the go to local bar. All the staff are friendly and always welcoming. It's a two floor bar. Bottom floor has a few tables to hang around and the top portion has two pool tables, a couple arcade games, and some darts. Oh and there's a outdoor rear patio area with table games. Pretty cool for something local.

This is the most down to earth bar in Glendale. Good people, good music and strong drinks! The staff are great and I've always had great interactions every time I've come here. If you ever run into a guy named Roger, make it a priority to say hey and get to know him. He needs some love.

Favorite Bar by far in Montrose!!!

Going to a bar? What is that?! After more than a year not visiting a bar, I definitely felt out of place coming here, but after a few drinks, I started feeling a little more comfortable. I had gone with a few friends for a birthday. I believe this is the local bar for the La Cañada/Montrose area. It's pretty clean and has good entertainment such as pool, pinball, a jukebox, and cheap drinks. They also have two floors. At the time that we visited they only had the first floor bar operating, which was fine. It wasn't too busy, so it was manageable.

Had the best time here! Came out to watch the game and met some awesome new friends. The bartenders are so friendly. I really enjoyed the vibe at this bar. Glad to see they are still operating during COVID. Will be back again!

Just an update. Blue Moon is taking temperatures and habd sanitizing customers before they enter. Then, social distancing is followed. The bartenders are masked, are are constantly sanitizing surfaces. If you must get out to a bar, you need to knoe thats how they are doing it here. I approve.

I nice bar with a good atmosphere. Bottom floor has around 5 big screens for sports. Second floor has pool tables, darts, arcades and a beer pong table. Bar service was quick and efficient. All the patrons seemed cool and unpretentious.

Great place to watch sports and relax with a cool drink. They have a decent selection of beer and occasionally we'll get one of their drink "specials" which are reduced priced and fun to try. This is not a place for high end eating; no food served. Yes, it's kind of a dive bar but when you're looking for a chill place with your friends this is it.

I love the Blue Moon and all the staff. The staff are friendly and super nice here. I mostly go during happy hour and the patrons are fun to hang with. #watching sports, playing darts, pool, beer pong, touchtunes on the Jukebox. They do NOT have a full menu unlike what Kendall W. claims. They do not have a kitchen. I think he is confused with another place like the New Moon across the way. You can order delivery though.

No frills, cool place to hangout and drink for little money. I was pretty shocked to see how low my bar tab was when I cashed out. It's my coworkers' and my new favorite spot! I read the other comments and noticed people saying they don't have food but they offer nuts... they have a full food menu. My friends and I still ordered Uber eats to the bar though and they were cool with it!

Probably the best sports bar in La Crescenta. Since Leo's All Star closed this has been my new home. Damn good prices on blue moon and a few other drinks, a decent selection of beer on tap, and a small pool table upstairs.

They have a cool environment. People get into fights here sometimes and they ban everyone involved so walk upstairs.

I've been here four or five times n the last year. The bar keep are ALWAYS nice and happy. Ask for the nuts snack if you get a little buzzed. Just a cool hometown bar - very clean. No food. Great happy hour at 3 bucks for a bud light. There is an upstairs but I have never ventured up there as I want to keep the suspense going. Just come here and get a brew. Opens at 5.

Great hole in the wall with pool and darts

I don't know where to start! I work up the street and my coworkers and I always find it a great place to unwind. Great happy hour and friendly service always. But this time, they went above and beyond. I left my wallet there and didn't realize it until the following morning. The bartender, Tessa, researched my name and was able to find my husband on social media. I called them in the morning (off hours) and their owner called me back in less than an hour to let me know they had it as well. There was a lot of money in my wallet and all of it was still there. I'm so grateful that good people still exist in this world and I intend to patronize their establishment often. I'm happy to spend my money on good people who appreciate my business as much as I do theirs!! THANK YOU JOE AND TESSA you guys are the best!

I come for the cheap blue moon I stay for the great conversatio the bar tender provides when it's slow. When it's busy it's fun because there's a lot of cool people. Britney the bar tender's skills are unparalleled, and borderline supernatural. I feel a strong positive energy from the building, and I assume that this place is not haunted by Any evil ghosts. They also have an a for health inspection. And the ambiance! Only thing missing is tacos, they have no good.

Review 39 A hidden locals sports bar in Montrose, the staff is great here and very good at keeping your tab correct. We ordered 805's and New Castle's, the beers were ice cold as to be expected and filled to top. Their's an upstairs as well with plenty of seating, the bar and additional seating is on the first floor. The music really pumps here! they'll play a little of everything to get you dancing and enjoying yourself. I liked the environment very much, not too much of one thing or another. It's a good place to bring friends for some drinks or for a sports event! Parking is on the south side of the building and street parking is also availlable. Plan B

This place is very nice and located far enough from anything to make plenty of noise. I come here often and find it a great place to socialize since it is never too noisy. The mixed drinks are well made and mixed right in front of you so you can see what you are in for. They even have beer pong upstairs if you really miss those days im college.

The gem of La Crescenta/Glendale. Nestled away just below downtown montrose you'll find the blue moon. The bar itself is not much to look at, its small but has an upstairs which allows you to order pitchers of beer at a decent price to play beer pong . The staff is usually pretty cool, but what makes the Blue Moon tick is the locals, ahh yes, the locals. They gather there nightly and make you feel at home, yet a stranger all at once. As the night grows later and the people raunchier, you can sit back with your buds in your own world as you watch the wonderful chaos around you. One night might be spent watching a belligerent former prom queen from the nearby high school, the next night might be spent listening to an older weird guy talk to you about sports and his latest craiglist adventure, it might sound odd but I like it, its like a dysfunctional family reunion.

Really cool dive bar. Not huge but a cool local place. If you come on Mondays or Wednesdays, you'll probably see Meesha manning the bar. She's new but she's freaking awesome! She's down to make new drinks and she's super personable. There's street parking and upstairs they have a pool table and beer pong. Make sure you stop in and say hi to Meesha. If you're cool she may even sing you a song. The drinks are stiff and the prices reasonable. I'll definitely be back.

This place is under the new management of Mr and Mrs G, so it has changed quite a bit. Place isn't anything special but if you're looking for cheap drinks, good people, and a good time this is a great place. Bartenders are good and the drinks are usually pretty strong. This place is nothing fancy, but a great place to hang out and have a good time.

My new favorite spot for Happy Hour because it lasts all night!!! $5 well drinks including good margaritas and even an Absolut cocktail. $6 wine and even less expensive beer. Plus $3 Asian Appetizers to boot! They even bring you fresh won tons with sweet and sour sauce for no charge. I think I died and went to heaven, why oh why did it take me so long to discover this gem?!?!

The Blue Moon Lounge is under new management and better than ever! The couches upstairs have been replaced with high tables and bar stools, there are some new (and hot) faces behind the bar, a new sign you can actually read out front and the place is just so much better overall! Karaoke is now every Thursday, there's Sunday Funday Stand-up Comedy night the last Sunday of every month and there have been some bands on random Friday and Saturday nights. Not to mention there's always Happy Hour with great prices! Overall I'd say the place has improved a ton and there's always something going on.

The bar is a great place to just hang out with friends and catch up, not too loud, but loud enough that you don't feel like you are sharing every intimate detail with the whole bar. I went for the first Sunday Night Comedy hour, and was impressed. The comics they found were great (the lack of cover charge even better) and the upstairs area is a lot of fun. They have Karaoke on Thursday nights which I have heard is fun, even one of the owners participates. Drink wise, I was enjoying a fat tire on tap. They seem to have a full bar and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend visiting this gem in Montrose for a beer and great company any night of the week.

The Blue Moon Lounge is a great place to grab some beers, listen to some good tunes and feel comfortable in any attire. The thing I love the best about the Blue Moon is that I can go by myself and it doesn't matter because when I get there I always end up in a conversation, dart game or chatting with locals within minutes. The crowd is welcoming and the drinks are strong. I know Montrose is not the most well known town but come on, that's the beauty of it. You can still see bands and not have to travel to Hollywood. They seem to support local talent and that is always good. The drink specials are insane. They have Happy Hr prices all night long on Sunday!
